Location: Down the little streets of the historic centre of Gagliano del Capo, approximately 10 km from Santa Maria di Leuca, the Mini Essiccatoio invites us inside its walls through a wooden door that is hidden between the scents and the silence of a typical pedestrian alley.
House: The wooden door off the alley leads directly into the small living room of the house. From this living room with a large fireplace called a “focalire” one accesses the equipped eat-in kitchen as well as a small courtyard with a bathroom/shower and an external staircase that leads up to the upper floor where there is a master bedroom with its own bathroom with tub and farther up to a furnished terrace from which on can enjoy the panoramic view of the antique part of the town.
History: Mini Essiccatoio gets its name from L’Essiccatoio, a nearby building that in the past was used for drying tobacco. Mini Essiccatoio is very similar to the larger building in its architectural characteristics, only in miniature, as well as its renovation whose style inspired the owners to recuperate this little village nest.
